Functional, but not the Same

I have been fooling around a little bit with my mobile phone lately. You see, the phone I purchased is web ready, so I thought I would see what a website would look like on it. Well, much to my surprise, regular websites don’t look right at all. So, I thought that I wasn’t doing something right.
I did a search online on how to use a mobile site, and I figured out the source of my problems. I thought that the phone would just display sites like a regular web browser, but it turns out that just isn’t the case.
You see, you need to find wap sites – or those sites specifically designed to be shown on portable devices. Once I figured this out, I tried some of the more common websites and found that I could use them, though their functionality was somewhat limited.
Hopefully at some point in the future, this won’t be the case, but for now, I guess I will just have to settle for something rather than nothing at all.
