Parents need to face facts. Infant bed sheets are going to be abused. CSI would have a field day locating traces of pee, spit up, and who knows what else decorating these linens. Because of that, it is very important to purchase crib sheets that are going to hold up and stay safe after multiple washings. These guidelines will help parents rest-easy with their baby’s bedding choice.

Remember that many laws have changed in the last few years, so when investigating what is best for your infant, you need to make sure the data is up-to-date. According to recent data as of 2008, babies need to be placed in rear facing car seats until they are around the first year of age or they have reached a weight of at least 20 pounds [Car Safety Seats: A Guide for Families 2008, American Academy of Pediatrics, 2008] . The transition to the next size car seat needs to be based mainly on weight and less on age. Just because a child is older does not mean they are not necessarily safer.

If you shop at any of those warehouse shopping centers with the larger/oversized shopping carts you will definitely want a shopping cart cover that will fit both the normal and larger size shopping carts. Many of the shopping cart covers can also be used to cover restaurant highchairs and park swings. Almost all of the quality shopping cart cover sold today, will cover almost any size shopping cart.

Keep your toddler comfortable. Diaper padding only goes so far. Those hard shopping cart seats can be irritating to some toddlers. Consider making or buying a shopping cart cover to keep your toddler comfortable while shopping. This will have the added benefit of preventing your toddler from being exposed to the myriad of germs that can be found on the shopping cart.

It takes about 10 seconds to throw the cover into place and secures with Velcro straps. Parents love that.” Once you have your baby or toddler buckled in the shopping cart cover, you also have the option of using a bottle pocket, toy pocket, multiple loop attachments which allows you to a pacifier so the child cannot throw it on the dirty store floor.

Imagine their frustration upon returning home from what was thought to be a successful shopping trip, and the parents discover that they purchased the wrong sized sheet. There are many different kinds of sheets available – standard crib sheets, bassinet sheets, playard sheets, and cradle sheets to name a few. Parents need to double check the crib sheet size before purchasing or registering.

One might say that this potty chair is loaded with bells and whistles. The Fun to Learn Potty incorporates music to reinforce children when they go potty as well as many musical selections to entertain them while they wait.

Finding the best looking seat is not the main issue. The main thing to be concerned with is protecting the cargo it carries. Always be vigilant in buckling your infant in every time you get in the car. Never take a child out of a car seat until she has reached the appropriate age and size. The biggest cause in child injury due to car seats today is the improper use of them. Read all instructions thoroughly and follow every direction to the letter.

PostHeaderIcon The Essence of Life at South Carolina Craft Fairs

by Rick Amorey

South Carolina is responsible for many of the agricultural products that circulate in and around United States. When you drink that glass of milk, or light up that proud cigar, do you ever stop and think about where it came from? Chances are, they came from right here in South Carolina.

In addition to agricultural products, we have also been able to make amazing textiles, machinery, automobiles, and even paper products. South Carolina is truly a land of many resources. That is why we are able to produce rich equipment such as this.

By day’s end, though, the majority of people never stop to think about where the things they see everyday come from. People take for granted how much work is really done to make the simplest of things that we use every single day; from breakfast cereal, to school supplies, to automobile parts. These have been made with much effort and thinking on someone else’s part.

This has been my calling for a time now. I haven’t quit my day job, yes, but I have made steps to increase my awareness of the people who are responsible for making these products. To do this, I make a lot of different crafts that depict their lives. I try to work on my art skills for about an hour each day, and I display them on one of the many craft shows held around South Carolina. I’m not about to brag, but I believe my crafts are well-received both by friends and strangers.

What makes my crafts special, perhaps, lies in the way that I depict life in South Carolina. You see, I use the very materials that are so commonly harvested by this rich State and show how life here is. For example, I have a diorama of a tobacco farmer using the very dried leaves that he harvests. It is a very personal way of depicting our life, and many approve of this method.

PostHeaderIcon Free Money for a College Education

by Cora May Waldorf

Will you be going to college within the next few years or are you already in college? Are you looking for ways to pay for it? There’s no better time than the present to start looking for ways to make money for college.

It costs a lot of money to go to college. After tuition adds up with all the fees and room and board, you can expect to pay a lot of money. Some colleges have tuition fees that are just outrageous.

One way to cut down costs is to go to a cheaper school. If you went to a community college first for two years and than transferred to your favorite more expensive school, you spend a lot less and still get that degree from the other school.

There are lots of people who would never go to a state school because, well, I have no idea. Unless you are extremely smart and need to go to an Ivy League college, the cost of a college will not decide it’s prestige or value of it’s degrees. I’m sorry to break it to you, but it means nothing.

Aside from going to a cheaper school, there are other ways to make money for college. Of course, you can start saving. This is best for people who are farther away from college. Instead of blowing all your part time income on junk, save it and save money on college.

None of this has been free yet, but there are ways to get free money for college. You can get most free money for college by getting scholarships and grants.

Anyone can apply for scholarships, as long as you meet the criteria. There are tons of scholarships available out there, you just need to know where to look.

Ask your guidance counselor for more information on local scholarships and sign up for a scholarship website. You can get a lot of money through scholarships. Maybe you could even get a full ride?

PostHeaderIcon EyeClops Night Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles Critique

by Linda Jenkins

EyeClops Night Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles are one of the top selling toys online right now.

If your kids like adventure and exploring things, the EyeClops Night Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles are the right toy for them. This is a toy that uses infrared technology in order to allow you to see in the dark. The EyeClops Night Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles develop kids imagination, allows them to learn about different things in their surroundings and gives them a good time.

The goggles would be a gift idea for children at various ages. What child – or adult for that matter – does not like the idea of being able to see clearly in pitch black darkness? There is also the option of switching the screen from black and white to green by flipping a button that is located on the side of the goggles.

They can also be fun for hide and seek at night, hiking, camping trips, and a whole lot more. Vision range is about fifty feet, and there’s no glaring light the way there is when we use a flashlight. You can use these goggles during the daytime, too.

Viewing is narrow, but very crisp and detailed. Be aware that you should definitely be around when younger kids use the goggles for the first time – some have gotten a little creeped out! However, once they get used to this new way of seeing things, every kid loves playing with the EyeClops Night Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles. They’ve also been used in haunted houses and as movie props. Remember to shut down the goggles when they’re not in use. They don’t have an automatic shut down or sleep function, which can lead to battery waste if they’re left on when not being used.

These goggles provide a crisp, easily viewable image of even the darkest landscapes, but they should never be used without adult supervision. You might want to let you kids know that before you give it to them so that there are no misunderstandings later.

These relatively inexpensive goggles are a great gift and every kid loves them. Parents enjoy them, too. It’s a toy that doesn’t beep or make noise, and it gets children up and moving around. Video games will seem boring when your child has his or her own night vision goggles! Check out local stores to find this hot toy, or order online. You won’t be sorry you did.

PostHeaderIcon Creativity thoughts for youngsters – Keep it simple-minded

by Ethan O. Tanner

Kids love to do craft projects, there is no doubt about it. But I think children, especially younger children like to have their projects less structured. A good strategy is to keep it simple and fun. I totally think this is true because they can be more creative and have more fun that way.

Do not understand me wrongly, I arrive at craftiness thoughts for my youngsters and we enjoy many hours of fun with them, only she appears to experience more enjoyment making her personal craftiness thoughts. It’s beneficial to allow the imaginative juices flow in the youth minds.

A couple of years back I shopped at our local goodwill store and purchased alot of craftiness supplies for really small amount of money. I purchased beads, leather, pipe cleaners, glitter, stickers, feathers, yarn, lace, buttons, and simply a ton of crafty typeitems. I put it all in a bigger box with some glue and glue sticks. This is how my girls Creativity package came into being.

We have since added stickers, markers, cotton balls, sequins, and other stuff we find. I bought a big tablet of thick paper and thus her “scrapbook” came into existence. She loves to get it out and create different pages of ideas and creations. She cuts pictures out of magazines and adds them to it as well.

Occasionally she simply arrives at her own craftiness plans from the textiles rather than making her “scrapbooking” and she enjoys herself greatly. The single problem to her scrapbooking is occasionally she utilises more glue and we must wait for it to dry out prior to turning the page and progress to her succeeding creative activity.

Therefore do not always think structure when it comes to craft ideas for younger children. You and they’ll probably have a good deal more fun if you allow their imagination run the project. After all it is their creation so there’s no wrong or right way to do it. Children are less likely to become frustrated if they can’t make their creations appear just like they are suppose to as well.
